Meet Coach Liza!

  1. What is your name?

Liza Tulisano (soon to be Walters 🙂 )

  1. How long have you been at Silk City Fit?

Almost 3 and a half years

  1. Where did you attend College?

I attended Central Connecticut State University and Majored in Social Services.

  1. What is your favorite food?

Anything under the dessert category!

  1. Do you have any pets?

I have 2 adorable mutts at home. One little hyper Cockapoo princess named Oakley Jane and the sweetest/snuggliest Pitbull named Axel Rose.

  1. Current Certifications and plans for the future?

Right now I only have my L1 Certification but that’s just the first of many more I am looking to get. Next up, Crossfit Kids. I want to get these little ones in the box and fitnessing on a level that will educate them on health and exercise in a fun but safe environment.

  1. What’s your favorite travel destination?

My favorite place to travel is Colorado but I’ve always wanted to visit Greece and India!

  1. What is your favorite movement and why?

I have so many but I think my most favorite would be the Clean. More specifically, the pocket clean. I just find it so amazing how you can remove the first pull from a full clean and still move lots of weight using the power of your hips.

  1. What is your least favorite movement and why?

The Assualt Bike! It’s torture on my quads and challenges my cardio vascular endurance which isn’t something I’m strong in. Which is why I try and work the Assualt bike into workouts as much as possible. Work your weaknesses!

  1. Why Silk City Fit?

Honestly, I joined Silk City Fit with a groupon but I’ve stayed at TBL because when I’m struggling through a workout and need some motivation I look around and see our community pushing just as hard and cheering each other on! That inspires the hell out of me. It doesn’t matter what your background is or what you do for a living, when your At the box, your part of a family that wants nothing but the best for you!

  1. Why did you become a coach?

Crossfit has done so much for me. Yes there is the obvious physical change but there is something to be said about crossfit being able to lift a person confidence and spirit. I want to be able to share that with others. Help them along their journey, be it fitness goals or life goals.

  1. Personal Goal for 2018?

Crossfit goal would be to grow as a coach. To be able to coach and help as many of our members as possible. And, link my Ring Muscle Ups of course!

  1. Life Goal?

Just try to be present and apreciative of every moment life has to offer.

  1. Advice for members?

No day of training is a bad day of training. We have good days and then we have days we learn from. Keep working hard TBL. You are all amazing athletes!
