Meet Coach Steve!

1. What’s your name?

Stephen Bosse

2. How long have you been at Silk City Fit?

6 Years

3. Where did you attend College?

I attended the University of Connecticut School Of Business with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting

4. What is your favorite food?

I can’t limit it to one thing…. I work out to eat everything. I love pizza, wings (all flavors), burgers, seafood whenever possible. Tons of Ice cream, it goes great with any meal.

5. Do you have any pets?

I have an English Bulldog Named Bowser and a Shipoo named Cookie

6. Current Certifications and plans for the future?

Currently a Level 1 Trainer, and I plan on getting my Level 2 in 2019!

7. What’s your favorite travel destination?

For me its Hawaii. Trust me just go. That’s if you like the best beaches in the world, some of the best coffee, hiking, and weather.

8. What is your favorite movement and why?

Burpee Box Jump overs because everyone hates them and it is such a great workout. Involves bodyweight movements and jumping, body control. It’s a total body workout without excessive stress on the body.

9. What is your least favorite movement and why?

Dumbbell Thrusters or thrusters for that matter. It is one of the best movements you can do but I’ve never liked them because I haven’t had the best wrist flexibility…ever. I’ve injured my wrist a bunch of times and I know how long it takes to heal them so I shy away from them.

10. Why Silk City Fit?

Well it’s obvious once you step foot into the box. Something about the atmosphere and members that makes you want to keep coming back again. I have met some of the most interesting people at TBL and some of my longest lasting friendships have started at TBL.

11. Why Did you become a Coach?

At first it was to expand my crossfit knowledge and to help myself.  I quickly realized how much people wanted help and soon my own training was cut down in order to benefit others. I stopped thinking just about myself and more about others. Now it is a great sign when a member lifts more than me or has faster times.

12. Personal Goal For 2019?

Balance all aspects of life better. Run a Marathon and continue to do things that people say can’t be done.

13. Advice for members?

Have fun in whatever you do. If it’s not fun it’s not worth it. Maintain a positive attitude. It’s amazing what positive thinking can do. Don’t stress about everything… or you’ll be bald like me.
